Picked this up because I’m used to working on multiple monitors at home and I was over just having my laptop screen while on travel. I selected this model because of a few things. 1) it had the closest screen size to my laptop (T490s). 2) didn’t attach to my machine via magnets 3) didn’t require external drivers 4) wasn’t $500+ I didn’t want to spend $250 either but the flexibility Amazon’s return policy made me more comfortable with that.When I got the device delivered I was impressed with the packaging. It’s in a pretty nice box and packaged well and it also came with two of every cord you could possibly need to get it to work. It was not plug and play but it also wasn’t rocket science either. While one display was pretty much plug and play via USB-C it did take me a second to figure out how to get the other to work and not have it be a duplicate of my main display I was up and running once I decided to read their directions.My laptop only has two USB-C ports and one of them is the power one. I was apprehensive about using that for the third screen but their directions do state that it’s not an issue as long as you use your power supply in the monitor as well. Note this isn’t required to make the displays work but it does help with brightness and battery life. My machine is pretty old but off battery I can last about 2.5 hours without the extra displays and 1.25 hours with them. Plugged in (the power supply goes into the monitor) it all works and prior to deciding to keep this I worked exclusively off my laptop for a few days to make sure I didn’t burn out my fan or hate working with the smaller screens. For what I do (email, spreadsheets, Teams calls, cloud based database work) I’m fine.I did by a foldable riser to lift up my laptop so that I would be able to tilt the monitor back to have a better viewing angle. It comes with a stabilizing bracket (the weight of this will pull your monitors back the wrong way) and without the riser I do not like the angle I would have to keep the displays at.Besides the added weight in my backpack the only con I have experienced thus far is that beyond the dustbag included with the display there’s no real way to protect the screens when they are in your bag. I would hate for the pressure of a pen or my mouse the wrong way to bust the screen but so far that hasn’t happened. I do wish the manufacturer had included a piece of hard plastic to put over it for when it’s stored. The way they fold up there isn’t a way to fold them into themselves to protect the screens. My husband hates the way they open and the tension style bracket to attach them to the laptop but that does not bother me. Note; he has a macbook and the displays were plug and play for him as he has multiple USB-C ports on his machine.While I typically work off of two 27” monitors at home I have adapted to using three with this. I especially like how on a Teams call I can keep the presentation up on one display; have the call controls on another and still keep a screen free in case I need to look something up or reference something without breaking “eye contact” in my camera.All in all for regular travelers and/or people who like agile working I do recommend this. For my pictures I am including I paused a youtube video at the same point on all three screens in full view mode so that you could gauge the size difference. All in all it’s not terrible. Could it be cheaper? Likely yes but for me I felt like this was something that if I could use it it would be worth it so I am fine with the price I paid.I love this product! I bought this because my daughter is in sports and during the summer she went to so MANY camps and then its additional traveling once the season starts. The laptop extender was great for me to still be productive while working at the various coffee shops near by. I did not miss a beat and it was awesome. Yes other reviews are true, the battery on your laptop will die quicker using this screen extenders, yet just sit by a plug and you are fine. Regarding setup, that went pretty smoothly. My trick for putting the extender on is to lay your laptop flat and just do one side at a time. When I 1st got it I tested it all out and it worked perfectly. I then took a pic for me to remember what cords went where for when I use it. After that I only pack the cords I need to keep it simple when I go out. The other part I love is everything fits in my backpack, its not too big and heavy. This pic is not great, I sent it to my husband I was so pumped the 1st time I used it out. The screens are actually bigger than that. I even received compliments from strangers in panera and starbucks on them. In my field I can't work without having multiple screens so to have the option even on the road is just amazing.I am currently a remote worker. For my position I need 3 screens to accomplish my daily task. Some days I prefer not to work in my office downstairs. If under the weather I can work from my bedroom or living room couch. This side by side makes my life easier. It allows me the 3 screens I need to be efficient in my position. It works superb thus far as I own it a few month now. The screen quality and mobility with my mouse is excellent. This was a great investment and I would buy again. This helps me get the job done!I reviewed several similar competitor products for travel and remote use prior to purchase This particular model had one of the largest screens available in the same price range. The fold out screens are nearly as big as the monitor on the laptop itself. Nice to have that extra bit of screen, especially if you are accustomed to having larger screens attached. Several of the other brands had 10" screens. Plug and play was paramount, This will be primarily used on a company lap top (Dell Latitude 5490) and downloading of drivers would not be viable for me. I already had a Dell thunderbolt docking station so set up with the supplied USB C cords and powering the lap top was no issue. If you do not already have a docking station it would be advisable to purchase one from the start to avoid delay. Setting up the multiple screens in the settings was straight forward. Product arrived on time, but was missing several cords and the support bracket. Arrived with a felt carrying bag that would be ok for transport and keeping the cords together and it fit nicely in a backpack. Contacted Amazon customer support regarding the missing parts and was provided a link to send a message to the vendor for the missing parts. Will attempt to follow-up after practical use and response on missing parts. I am happy with this purchase so far.During pandemic period, I need to work from home and office at same time. I try to save time and money that I need extended monitors when I am in the office and continue to my work from home. Getting this product, I can have more space in my office, and easy to carry on during the travel between home and office. The best thing is that I can also display my work on one screen, and one screen can be turned around to provide a display to a client sitting across from you when you are in the meeting.These monitors were just what I've been looking for, in order to increase my productivity; they are light/portable, easy to install and remove, and even have built-in speakers on each side. I like the fact that they have so many connection options, making them compatible with many different computer configurations, and the majority of the cables required are included with purchase! Overall I give this item 5 stars, and I would highly recommend purchasing!
