This is one heavy-duty backpack designed for travel and everyday needs! I purchased this bag after my last backpack finally broke down (after 10 years). I am extremely pleased with my purchase. I've used the bag for a little over two months now, and I have zero complaints. All of the zippers and pockets are sturdy, and the bag feels super comfortable on my shoulders. The bag is very well designed. Every pocket is spacious and I feel that there is more than enough room in this bag for everything. The most notable feature of the bag is the ability to run your laptop through the scanner at the airport without having to remove it from your bag.I'm not sure if it will matter to most people, but one of the main reasons I chose to buy this bag is that it has TWO, LARGE water bottle pockets. I carry two Nalgene 48oz bottles (silo model). These bottles are wide and very tall, and they both fit in this bag!! As an added bonus, there is a strap that sits above both water bottle pockets so that you can secure the top of the bottle so that they don't fall out of the pockets! Whoever designed this feature is a genius.Excelente.Although I am waiting to use it on an upcoming trip - this particular package came on time and was actually a replacement for the same article from another company that NEVER got here. So these guys were a bit more money and free shipping but on the ball. The actual backpack seems like it has more slots and areas for stuff in it than my old one of Swiss Gear. The drink holders on the side ALSO are much better because my old ones were guaranteed to drop every bottle and even had a few Rubbermaid bottles break on me when they hit the ground which was frustrating. Because of TSA and all the stuff You cannot take on a plane I decided to wait to just put in very basic things I need for travel and then load the rest later after the trip is over because I have to keep alot of stuff with me for health reasons. It also looks very nice and has that fresh / sharp look. Swiss Gear made alot of improvements from my old back pack to this one as far as little things like a sunglasses holder.I have used this backpack the past four semesters of college. I’m a nursing student so you can imagine the amount of stuff I have to cram into it. I still haven’t had any issues with the stitching or zippers after many, many uses. The inner lining is still intact despite how rough I am with it, and the amount of pockets in the front pouch is awesome for pens, pencils, and a spot that holds notecards perfectly! I love the spot to feed headphones through and the water bottle pocket is big enough to fit my large camelbak. The padded laptop slot is perfect for keeping my MacBook or iPad safe and snug. If you want a durable bag with optimal storage and organization, definitely try this one!I've had this backpack for almost 4 years now and it is just now beginning to show the earliest signs of wear. I use this bag primarily for work travel, mainly flying, and this is perfect for it. Fits most sized laptops and has some built in padding for the laptop. Easy to unzip the tsa pouch for security. Fits perfectly under most airline seats for carry one. This bag is sturdy as I've definitely overloaded it at times without issues.Highly recommend this for travel.Very satisfied with SwissGear quality. No surprise on the quality though, as SwissGear holds up way better than other brands. It is very durable, heavy duty. I bought this for commuting on the train every day and for traveling. All of the pockets and straps work very well and hold up nicely.The TSA ScanSmart actually was very nice. I literally just unzipped the large zipper and laid it flat on the X-Ray belt and they had no issues with leaving my laptop and electronics inside the bag. This protected my laptop and other electronics.The 2 drink holders are nice on each side and even larger bottles didn't fall out. I've have big SmartWater bottles and BlenderBottles in them and they held in nicely.The key rings are nice for holding my keys while I traveled across country. The shoulder straps even fit a big guy like myself like a pro.Very goodThis is my 3rd laptop bag. It is surprisingly comfortable to wear, has decent size compartments, and it barely fits my 17" laptop, an Asus GL702VM. Where the laptop sits, it has a velcro strap to hold the laptop in place, not too securely, but it works. Folds out nicely for tsa inspection. Straps seem nicely construction. If you have one of those nice big 17" or larger laptops, do not get this bag, mine is fairly thing, and it just fits. Otherwise a good comfortably bag.
